Ensure that the foundation is level, even, and well-cleaned. Remove irregularities and loose debris. Then lay out the sill insulation with the end towards the corner so that the cross end of the meeting T-Sill from the other foundation side connects foam edge to foam edge, with the foil strip foldable inward over the other sill insulation. The sill insulation is fixed to the substrate with approved adhesive, double-sided butyl tape, or sparse nailing with steel nails through the foam part (clamped between the sill and the foundation).
The joint and foil overlap at corners are taped with Sealing Tape T-Flex.
Cross joints along the base sides are joined edge to edge and carefully taped with T-Flex.
Final fixation occurs when the sill is mounted with suitable fastening and pressed down against the base plate. The connecting moisture protection from the rest of the base plate should overlap the foil strip and be taped completely sealed with T-Flex or equivalent approved joint aids for moisture protection.
