Installation Instructions

T-Foam

Floor Underlay

Important!

  • Storage and warehousing should always be done indoors, packaged or in a way that protects the product from sunlight (UV radiation) and heat (˃ +35°C). The maximum operating temperature when mounted on the floor is also +35°C. Higher temperatures primarily affect aging resistance.
  • On substrates of concrete, lightweight concrete, or floor leveling compound, with relative humidity (RH) over 60% (maximum 90%), an aging-resistant moisture barrier should be used (Tecca T-Foil) in combination with T-Foam as a moisture protection film. Alternatively, both layers can be replaced with T-Foam Duo, which has integrated moisture protection.
  • On substrates such as slab on ground, floor joists above warm or humid spaces, or floors with underfloor heating, moisture protection should always be combined as per the point above. However, the maximum relative humidity (RH) with moisture protection (vapor barrier) is 90%

1. Preparations

T Foam 1

Ensure that the surface is clean, dry, even, and free from debris.

Roll out the foam and cut to suitable lengths. It is advantageous to start installing the flooring after the first foam sheet is placed. Continue step by step with additional sheets and flooring. This way, you don't have to work and wear directly on the subfloor (T-Foam) before the flooring is laid.

2. Installation

T Foam 2

T-Foam should be laid loosely and completely flat without anchoring and overlap. The sheets are installed edge to edge and around the floor surface edges.
