Continued assured quality of P-marked products from TECCA
The P-marking is being phased out and will be replaced by third-party reviewed quality control and product testing according to the control document IQD128. Auditing and testing will continue to be carried out by RISE to ensure the durability and quality of the products.
As it has been pointed out in recent years (by Boverket) that the EU's Construction Products Regulation does not allow any product marking other than the CE marking, RISE has concluded that it can no longer continue with the P-mark for this type of product.
The P-marking for flexible barrier kits made of polymeric materials (air and vapor barriers, vapor brakes, safety fabric, wind protection, and underlay roofs, etc.), issued by RISE, has since its introduction in 2013 served as a guarantee that the products meet the requirements for use in construction for Swedish conditions, including long aging resistance and several other important properties.
Regelverket för CE-märkning av den här typen av produkter är tyvärr inte ändamålsenligt för de användningsområden som förekommer på vår marknad. Viktigast är att det, till skillnad från P-märkningen (tidigare Typgodkännande) inte innehåller någon adekvat metod för att fastställa livslängden. An air and vapor barrier can therefore be CE-marked without having any lifespan at all.
TECCA har därför vidtagit följande åtgärder: P-märkningen, och de kontroller som har legat till grund för denna, kommer att ersätts med en tredjepartsgranskad kvalitetskontroll med produkttestning (enligt IQD128). The review of our quality system and testing of our products will continue to be carried out by RISE. The requirements to be met are very similar to those applicable for P-marking today, and include all tests performed according to P-marking to verify the product's lifespan and otherwise ensure its quality.
Rent praktiskt kommer ni att få same product as today men utan någon P-märkning utöver CE-märket samt en information om att IQD 128 tillämpas. Dokumentationen kommer att vara mycket lik dagens, men ändras från att vara ett certifikat gällande produkten till att vara ett intyg på att vi följer av RISE fastställda tillverknings- och kontrollrutiner (IQD128) för produkten.
A transition period between the two systems will be applied where some older produced and P-marked products will appear alongside newly manufactured ones according to IQD 128.
