T-Special
Strong double-sided tape with high immediate adhesion for permanent mounting. The adhesive is an acrylate dispersion with polyester thread reinforcement. Free from solvents, chlorine, and formaldehyde. Also odorless, resistant to plasticizers, and with good aging resistance.
Application Area
Suitable for carpet strips and harder moldings (underside of foam, synthetic, fleece, PVC, yarn, wood fiber, needle felt). The tape is suitable for solid surfaces such as masonry, metal, concrete, ceramics, cement (primed), plastic, wood, painted surfaces, wallpaper, plaster (up to 1.5 mm structure against
HDF strip, up to 3 mm structure against matte strip).
Inappropriate undersides on carpet, baseboard, or molding:
Texback, soft PVC, flotex, PU, needle felt, homogeneous and heterogeneous
PVC, actionback, solid wood strip, plant fiber (coconut, sisal, etc.) .
does not apply to wood fiber) or general moldings with risk of built-in
tensions.
Installation
The tape is equipped with silicone paper that is removed during installation. Installation is done without additional glue, screws, or nails.
Important!
- Store and keep protected from sunlight and strong heat.
- Working and tape temperature: at least +15 °C.
- The surface should be even, dry, clean (free from dirt, grease, and silicone), and resistant to pressure and tension.
- Application is done with pressure, firm pressure, or, if possible, blows with a rubber mallet to increase the adhesive strength in the bonding.
- At least 80% of the list/baseboard height should be glued.
- Temperature resistance of mounted product: -30 °C to +120 °C.
- Note! Always test first on the intended surface!
