Easy FA
Easy FA is a roof connection for sealing outer roofs that replaces metal details and traditional sealing products made of lead. The product has a high content of circular material as it is made from recycled polyvinyl butyral (PVB). PVB is the safety film used in laminated glass, for example, in car windows.
Self-adhesive for quick and easy use
Malleable and lightweight
Circular and non-toxic, made from a large proportion of recycled material
High ratings in environmental databases
Application Area
Easy FA is intended for sealing connections on the outer roof of roof tiles or profiled sheet metal. The product can, for example, be used for connecting side walls and entrance roofs, as sealing for dormers, roof windows, roof hatches, chimneys, and other penetrations.
Installation
Always ensure that the surface is dry and free from dust and grease before applying Easy FA. The product is slotted to simplify installation. Place the product in the correct position and shape it against the surface before pressing it down with your hands. Use a roller to ensure it adheres properly to the surface. The product can be spliced and should then be overlapped by at least 80 mm. For complete instructions, see the separate installation guide.
Important!
- The surface must be smooth, clean, dry, free of frost and grease.
- Application should be done on a firm and fixed surface.
- Easy FAs butyl adhesive works on materials such as sheet metal, plastic, bitumen (asphalt), EPDM, PVC, wood, brick, concrete, slate, and zinc.
- The installation temperature should be ≥ +5 °C. Cooler temperatures make processing difficult and impair adhesion. Preheat rolls at room temperature before use if necessary. A heat gun can be used carefully if needed for assembly and adhesion.
- If adhesion is uncertain, pre-treatment with a suitable primer (for the substrate, acrylic/asphalt-based) can be used before installation.
- Metal flashing strip and adhesive and sealing compound T-Fix should be used as a sealant for open and freely exposed standing edges. The strip should be mechanically anchored. The task on the outer wall of the panel is preferably covered by the facade material.
- As cut edges can be sharp, use protective gloves for handling.
- When installing against smoke channels, the substrate must meet temperature and fire safety requirements.
- Water runoff from roofs made of copper or new bitumen (asphalt) can discolor the surface of the material.
- Storage should be frost-free and at a maximum of +30 °C.
