Airtight-T är en diffusionsöppen tejp med barriär motsvarande ett vindskydd. Den diffusionsöppna egenskapen kombineras med god luft- och vattentätande prestanda. Undersidan är belagd med ett tryckkänsligt och aggressivt akrylhäftämne. I två alternativt tre partier skyddas klistret av lätt avdragbara skyddsfolier för smidigare montering. Tejpen har UV-beständiga (solljus) egenskaper motsvarande under byggtiden. Fäster även på ex alkaliska underlag som betong.

Application Area

The primary use of Airtight-T is as an air and water-tight sealant. It is used on facade details or frames that are initially exposed fully or partially during construction but will be permanently protected by the outermost facade cladding once the construction is completed. Sealing details around windows and doors against the frame or frame joints in general are typical areas of use. The tape adheres to surfaces such as concrete, wood, windproof fabrics, windproof boards, and metal, among others.

Installation

Installation is done on dry and cleaned surfaces. Loose particles should be removed and uncertain difficult surfaces like porous substrates should be pre-treated with a suitable primer (e.g., acrylic-based). Installations on wet, frosty, or icy surfaces should be completely avoided! Application is done with pressure along the entire tape surface against the substrate. Installation can be done at low temperatures down to about -10°C. However, the requirement for precision increases, as do the risks of the substrate having frost or ice formation! Approval

Testing of aging resistance and adhesion has been performed by RISE corresponding to IQD128 (SP 5138/EN 12114) for adhesion (at least 25 years) with Airtight-T on wind protection fabric T-Wind.

Important!

Test the adhesion on the surface before installation.
Always clean the surface before application.
If necessary, prime/treat the surface if it is more porous or if there are adhesion problems.
Avoid taping on icy, frosty, or damp surfaces entirely.
The tape should be stored in a warm place before installation in cooler weather.
To ensure aging resistance, the tape should be stored in a dry environment and protected from sunlight (UV radiation) at a maximum temperature of +32°C.
The product must be fully enclosed during the usage stage. Maximum external UV exposure during construction is 3 months.
Any potential future movements in the substrates should always be considered before application! Reduce the risks or adjust the adhesion of the tape bandage and/or increase the tape bandage's
width.
