Application Area
Ideal for permanent adhesion and sealing against wood (varnished or unvarnished, fiberboards), brick, stone, metal, PA polymer, PE film (e.g., vapor barrier, moisture barrier, radon membrane), PP membrane (e.g., wind protection, roof membrane, vapor brake), PU polymer (e.g., expanding joint tape, roof membrane), bitumen/asphalt (e.g., roofing underlay, underlay fabrics, surface paper/shingle), PVC and EPDM. In cured state, some elasticity and stickiness remain.
Installation
PREPARATION AND APPLICATION:
The surfaces and adhesive areas must be stable, dry, and clean (free from dust, oil, grease, silicone, or similar substances). For difficult surfaces or porous areas, use a primer. Always test apply on questionable materials and surfaces!
MEMBRANE/FOIL BONDING:
Apply the sealant in even strings with approximately 8 mm diameter onto the surface. Press or roll the foil/membrane lightly (not with hard pressure). For any movements in the membrane, add some extra material in a fold before the joint. For extra strength in the joint against a fixed construction part, a clamping strip can be mechanically attached over it.
FILLING/SEALING:
Fill joints that are only to be sealed (at least 8 mm deep) completely. Avoid air pockets!
Important!
- The compound can be used at low outdoor temperatures (below freezing). However, the curing and time to achieve full strength in the joint are extended.
- When exposed, the cured and elastic surface's stickiness can collect small particles such as dust and dirt. However, this does not affect the function!
- Avoid release into the environment! Dispose of contents/container in accordance with local regulations.
