TopTite 6
TopTite 6° is a self-adhesive surface felt consisting of a robust polyester core, with good strength properties and high dimensional stability. The asphalt contains SBS elastomer, which makes the felt pliable and flexible even at low temperatures. In the longitudinal direction of the felt, there is the self-adhesive edge equipped with a protective film.

Application Area
The surface felt TopTite 6° is intended for two- or single-layer covering of old and new roofs, with a slope of at least 6° (1:10). The ratio 1:10 means that the roof slope is one meter over a ten-meter length. The product is not suitable for roofs with internal drainage (roof drains); for this, a weldable waterproofing membrane is recommended. The roof area should not exceed 300 m² (in which case a welded waterproofing membrane is preferable).
Installation
The assembly can be done according to the Do-It-Yourself principle. Since the paper edges are self-adhesive, no special equipment is needed. On the inside of the cover, there are detailed instructions for covering the roof with TopTite 6°. For cross joints and other gluing, sealing adhesive K-36 or alternatively adhesive and sealing compound T-Fix is used. Read the instructions carefully before starting the work. At roof temperatures below +10°C, a hot air gun is used to activate the adhesive surfaces.
Nailing is done with roofing nails at least 25 x 2.8 mm (hot-dip galvanized), nail spacing 100 mm. No nailing should be visible after installation.
The base can be wood paneling, wood elements, or plywood designed to limit movement at joints, for example, by being equipped with tongue and groove that fit together well. TopTite 6° can also be easily installed on an old smooth roofing felt. The surfaces of the base should be clean, even, and dry. For the correct panel thickness, refer to table RA HSD/2 in RA Hus 08.
Important!
- Store and transport upright. Should be covered when stored outdoors. Must not be stacked.
- At temperatures below +10°C, store the roofing felt at room temperature for 1-2 days before roofing.
- When laying on old roofing felt, damages/blisters should be repaired for the best result. Cut away, dry, and possibly repair with sealant K-36.
- In addition to the manufacturer's instructions, the assembly recommendations according to the latest version of
AMA Hus apply. - For the best results during assembly, always ensure precision at joints, endings, or penetrations. These are the areas with the greatest risk for potential future moisture problems.
