T-Expand Standard
Pre-compressed drive band of impregnated PUR (Polyurethane) foam with a barrier that provides the effect of a vapor brake and an underside with adhesive strip for quick and easy installation. The exterior side is diffusion-open but protected against driving rain and waterproof up to 750 Pa. The drive band's PUR foam has insulating capability.

Application Area
T-Expand Standard is an expanding sealing tape with a barrier membrane. The product is primarily intended for jointing and sealing during the installation of windows and doors in insulated constructions. The sealing tape has a diffusion-resistant inside, a diffusion-open outside, a waterproof outside, absolute airtightness, good thermal insulation capability, and sound insulation.
Installation
The installation is carried out according to the installation instructions with the adhesive side around the frame of the window/door. After fixing the frame in the section, wall, or ceiling, T-Expand Standard self-expands so that the joint is completely sealed and closed. For complete information, see the installation instructions
Important!
- At the bottom of the opening, we recommend the use of a so-called secondary seal (underlying waterproofing layer) such as Flexseal-T. The tape is intended to protect the frame and is installed before the window or door installation.
- The applicable surface must be clean and dry, free from loose particles, grease, or silicone. The joint surfaces should be even and smooth.
- Columns should be parallel and perpendicular in depth to avoid angled surfaces. Some irregularities can be absorbed by the tape, but long lines with angles provide the tape with an insecure fixation.
- In stone/brick facades with uneven joint surfaces, the joints should be filled and smoothed to achieve flat surfaces.
- Mount the strip a few millimeters into the gap so that pressing or dripping water on the outside is not directed straight into the strip.
