T-Vap

T-Vap är en ångbroms med en balanserad diffusionsöppenhet. Produkten är tillverkad av en duk av Polypropen (PP) och Polyeten (PE) som är värme- och UV-beständig. Med hjälp av ångbromsen skapar du en ökad isoleringsförmåga och ger snabbare uttorkning. En väl fungerande ångbroms skyddar fastigheten och förlänger konstruktionens livslängd avsevärt och gör att du kan hushålla med energi på ett effektivt sätt och samtidigt öka värmeisoleringen då det begränsar mängden konvektion i bakomliggande isolering men ändå har möjlighet att torka ut i båda riktningar.

Application Area

T-Vap is primarily used as a vapor barrier (internal climate screen) and always provides a more moisture-secure solution in the exterior walls of thermally insulated buildings. However, it always contributes to an airtight construction and prevents harmful moisture and vapor from being transported to sensitive building parts. Energy losses are also minimized in heated spaces.

Installation

The T-Vap vapor barrier should be installed in a system with airtight joint aids such as T-Flex sealing tape or T-Stos butyl for pass-throughs. See separate installation! Generally, the climate screen is attached on the inside closest to the heated side of the insulated frame. The installation should be offset into the insulation a maximum of 1/3 of the total insulation thickness. This part functions as an insulated zone inside the climate screen and is used as installation space for electrical installations, etc., or serves as a buffer space for mechanical fastenings from the inside/interior. This reduces air leakage in a completed building over time and increases airtightness. The fastening should be done with galvanized staples or battens with nails and a minimum c-distance of 600 mm. Fastening can also be done with double-sided T-Duo joint tape/T-Butyl joint band along entire fastening lines where mechanical fastening is not possible. For airtight connections to concrete surfaces, double-sided T-Duo Concrete joint tape is recommended. For more complicated seals and the need for adhesion, T-Fix adhesive and sealing compound can be used.

Important!

When using diffusion-open climate screens compared to vapor barriers, the overall construction and function should be assessed from a moisture perspective. Even though the possibilities for drying increase, the initial moisture levels should be reasonable as all moisture transport occurs slowly! Ensure during construction that the building materials do not contain more moisture than allowed by practice. Ventilate sufficiently if needed before the construction is permanently closed. In case of doubt, consult a building expert.
For optimal effect of both membranes, the choice of interior surface layers should be considered in walls and ceilings. Denser coatings reduce the effect, while diffusion-open material choices and colors only minimally affect it.

Store and keep packaged/protected from sunlight (UV radiation) or consistently higher temperatures (>35°C).
The fabric has freely exposed (not built-in) UV protection that corresponds to the construction time (<3 months). If in doubt regarding the use of the climate screen and its properties, consult a construction expert.
